Converse Debuts Weatherproof Rubber Collection [PHOTOS]

Converse is not only making fly shoes, but they are now tackling the elements as well. Heading into the fall and winter seasons, people are often on the hunt for dope shoes that also won’t be destroyed by snow or rain. Converse has the answer with its Fall/Holiday 2016 Converse Counter Climate Rubber Footwear and Apparel Collection. The collection utilizes weather-repellent rubber and waterproof neoprene to fight against the many elements throughout the fall season.

Arriving in Black, Red Block, Buff, and Obsidian colorways, the collection starts with the All Star II Rubbers silhouette, and sees the shoe retaining the classic Chuck Taylor design while adding a new rubber overlay. They are offering weather protection to kids with the All Star Storms. One of the most innovative approaches to the Chuck Taylor formula are the new Signature Rubber high tops. All three types of shoe are part of the new collection.

In addition to the shoes, Converse is also introducing weatherproof apparel and bags. The poncho for women and the jacket for men provide comfort, fashion, and the protection needed from the elements. Rubber backpacks and duffel bags are also included in the line and come in red, yellow, black, and green.

Converse’s all-new weatherproof collection is available starting today¬† (September 1) at Converse retail stores, third-party sellers, and online, starting at $55 for footwear and $75 for apparel. Check out the gallery after the jump.
