There aren’t many producers on a hotter streak right now than DJ Mustard. He’s EP’d one of the best albums of 2014 in YG’s My Krazy Life, signed a deal with JAY Z’s Roc Nation, and has crafted one of the most distinct signature sounds in Hip-Hop today.

In this exclusive sit-down with the West Coast-bred beatsmith, he speaks to STASHED about the run he’s been on. With his distinctive “Mustard On The Beat, Hoe” drop, you always know when you are about to hear from the producer whose real name is Dijon McFarlane.

In this interview, Mustard talks about the producers who have inspired him as well as some of the artists he’s been in the studio with. He also speaks at length about what he’s learned about his business sense by signing to RocNation and working with JAY Z. Lastly, he expresses to us just went into the making of his collaborative project, 10 Summers.
